a little bit of a delayed entree, but i thought it would be cool to tell you all about my amazing weekend up in Rosemont! plus i wanted to get rid of that dreary journal that was up before this one!

so i ended up leaving for the union station in Chicago on friday rather than thursday, because my band instructor told me to. well, i would have failed his class if i didnt maybe. or at least gotten a really bad grade, because we had a concert on thursday night. but ANYWAY! irrelevent.

friday morning! we leave, and i am reading reading reading my book wicked~very good book for 5 hours until we get to Chicago. my cousin finds me and we find her dad. it was cold out and i had to pee real bad...

we stayed at the la Sofitel Hotel (instead of the Hyatt, it was booked.)
and i met 'the gang.'
then i waited in line for 3 hours for my convention badge, because mine never came in the mail..but after that we entered the 'mall,' and i, who had only a couple dollars on hand, could only look at a few things. it was a browse day :/

the next day we had made up a scavenger hunt consisting of buddah-knows how many tasks -_- so that resulted in us having barely anytime at all to shop! for one of the things we had to do, i ended up kissing a guy dressed up as a sepharoth! then my group decided they didnt really want to do the scavenger hunt at all! D=
we went to a concert and saw spiral spiders and high and mighty colors. there may have been another band, i dont know, because i left after the 3rd song to go back to the room 'real quick' now, it takes about 5 + minutes to walk from the la sofitel to the convention center to the hyatt, via skywalk, and i was about to enter the hyatt again when i realized that i forgot my ticket! D= so i went back, and looked around for about ever, and when i couldnt find it, i went to try to get a new one...which was unsucessful. i eventually found my way back to the line for the concert, waited in it again, and told the security guy at the end of it that i had lost my ticket and he basically shoved me back into the room...then i fell asleep on my other cousin's chair :ZZZ:

now...the soap bubble rave dance thing that took place later that evening...i wont get into. it was fun though. lol we..well I was there from like 11:30pm, until like 4:30am! we wanted to stay up to watch marmalade boy, which played at like 5:40. we watched umm...strawberry eggs (?) until it came on, but we all fel asleep in the theatre and got kicked out.. :/

on SUNDAY! i FINALLY got to SHOP!!

i think sunday was the best day of all. i bought 2 peachgirl books (who, btw, is at home how but still has to stay in bed), and also an apron with a pug on it for alice. for my mom i got some nice earrings that were like diamond but had some green put into them. real purty, but REALLY not expensive at all!. that was for mothers day. for haley i got pink and diamond-like cross earings. for my dad i got 2 season DVD's of red vs blue, both of which were signed by caboose! he is such a nice guy! voice actor but still, i felt incredibly special when he said i was the only person whose name he remembered throughout the few days of the convention!

and for myself i got a button, a bookmark, 2 prints from ((XOXO nice meeting you btw!)), a flaming hot picture of Gackt! , a flipside graphic novel, because im a fan of the authors -shrugs- he kinda forced me to buy it in exchange for something we needed for the scavenger hunt. and a henna tattoo on my upper arm of my signature for like only 2 dollars.i wish i could remember the artists name >_<
OH! i also got some sparkling orangeaid, and peach flavored tea from the nice french gift shop at the sofitel (and french chocolates for someone else)...that was the best lunch i have ever had :]

when we finally got home ((or, to 's home)) and ate a yum yum din-din, we watched blackcat until i fell asleep...

the next morning we went to catch the metra--but missed it. (luckily there was another one comeing 15minutes later!) and i took it to the union station where i waited in line with my horrible luggage (thats prolly why i have shin splints, come to think of it....)
before i could get on my train.
then it broke down like 10 minutes after leaving the station for an hour. and then another hour- totals worth of stops to check the engine again brought me home at 1:30 in the morning -___-

then i went to school a few hours later!
